About Werkema Law PLLC

As the founder of Werkema Law PLLC,  I bring nearly a decade of legal experience, including several years of service as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Michigan. In that role, I represented the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), handling complex cases involving healthcare professionals, controlled substances, and professional discipline under the Public Health Code and Occupational Code. Having worked within the state’s regulatory system, I understand how investigations are built, how decisions are made, and what strategies are most effective in protecting your license and career. Today, I use that experience to advocate for the very professionals I once worked across from — helping Michigan’s nurses, physicians, pharmacists, therapists, and other licensed professionals defend their right to practice.

As a veteran, I’ve dedicated my professional life to service — first to my country and now to the individuals whose work strengthens our communities every day. That same sense of duty and integrity guides my approach to the law: focused, disciplined, and committed to standing up for those who serve others.
